Expanding the Aven Booking Engine partner ecosystem - Aven Hospitality

Today's travelers expect more than a booking experience that simply displays rates and availability. They want flexibility in how they pay, reassurance when plans change, and richer content that helps them book with confidence.

As guest expectations continue to evolve, hotels have an opportunity to create more engaging, conversion-focused commerce experiences. But delivering those capabilities often requires managing a growing mix of technologies and providers.

To support this evolving booking journey, Aven Hospitality is expanding the Booking Engine through a growing network of integrated partners. Instead of building every capability internally, we're partnering with providers that have proven expertise and functionality that create tangible value to the booking journey. This approach helps hotels innovate faster while delivering the experiences travelers increasingly expect.

The goal isn't to offer the most integrations. It's to create a smarter, more connected commerce ecosystem that helps hotels remove friction, build guest confidence, and convert more direct bookings. By bringing together the right capabilities at the right moments in the booking journey, hotels can create seamless experiences that support both guest satisfaction and revenue growth.

Building a smarter booking engine

Partnerships allow Aven to bring proven, specialized capabilities into the Booking Engine faster than developing every feature in-house. By working with experts across payments, protection, weather assurance and visual content, Aven helps hotels enhance the booking journey without needing to source, manage and implement multiple solutions independently.

For hotels, that means access to innovative capabilities without the complexity of negotiating separate vendor agreements or managing additional integrations. Each partner is carefully selected to address a specific source of booking hesitation, whether that's payment flexibility, travel uncertainty, weather concerns or the need for richer property content.

Together, these capabilities help create a more flexible and confidence-inspiring booking experience for guests while giving hotels more opportunities to reduce friction, increase direct booking conversion and support revenue growth. As guest expectations evolve, Aven's partner ecosystem will continue to introduce relevant capabilities at key moments in the booking journey without adding unnecessary complexity for hotel teams.

Innovation through partnership

That approach is already taking shape across the Aven Booking Engine. Aven Hospitality is working with partners addressing different moments in the path from consideration to purchase.

Flex Pay: making direct bookings more accessible

Buy now, pay later with Aven Hospitality

One example of Aven’s growing partner ecosystem is Flex Pay, a Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) solution available in the United States, Canada, and select Latin American markets for properties charging in USD.

Rather than requiring guests to pay the full cost of their stay upfront, Flex Pay allows travelers to spread payments over time, making higher-value stays more accessible and reducing payment-related friction during the booking process.

For hotels, it offers another way to accommodate different purchasing preferences while supporting a more flexible path to direct booking.

Since Flex Pay launched with Aven, CoralTree Hospitality saw a 15% increase in average order value compared to non-BNPL bookings.

Protect Group: building confidence when plans change

Trip protection available globally with ProtectGroup

Protect Group provides trip protection for hotel bookings globally, helping travelers feel more comfortable committing to a reservation. Protect Group offers protection for qualifying bookings when unexpected disruptions occur.

This added reassurance can reduce concerns about unforeseen circumstances that may impact guests’ travel plans and help reduce booking hesitation by giving travelers greater confidence. The result is a booking experience that turns uncertainty into greater peace of mind for both guests and properties.

Sensible Weather: reducing weather-related booking hesitation

Weather guarantees available through most of NAM and Europe

For destinations where weather can influence travel decisions, Sensible Weather offers a Weather Guarantee across North America and much of Europe. The solution helps travelers feel more confident booking weather-sensitive trips by providing additional reassurance when making plans.

Whether guests are considering a beach getaway, ski vacation, or outdoor-focused experience, weather uncertainty can sometimes delay purchase decisions.

Since EOS Hospitality activated Sensible Weather, they have sold 2,946 Weather Guarantees across 30 hotels, generating $198,000 in sales and attach rates of up to 11% at top-performing properties.

By helping to address weather concerns, Sensible Weather gives travelers added confidence to book while helping hotels reduce hesitation around weather-dependent stays and experiences.

Immersive video for your property available globally - Aven Hospitality

Hovr brings immersive video experiences to hotel websites worldwide, allowing travelers to better understand what a property looks and feels like before they book. Rather than relying solely on static images, guests can explore richer visual content that helps them picture their stay and build confidence in their decision.

For hotels, that engagement can translate into measurable commercial impact, with Hovr delivering click-through rates of up to 38% and a 36% higher conversion rate, with every conversion tracked through its booking pixel.

By helping guests see themselves at the hotel before they arrive, immersive content can make the path from inspiration to reservation more compelling.

Hopper Technology Solutions: giving guests ultimate flexibility

Cancel for Any Reason protection - Aven Hospitality

Hopper Technology Solution (HTS) introduces Cancel for Any Reason protection to the Aven Booking Engine, allowing guests to cancel their stay before check-in for any reason.

Unlike traditional protection products that require a qualifying event and supporting documentation, HTS provides travelers with broad cancellation flexibility and greater peace of mind when making travel plans.

In 2025, HTS delivered over $33 million in refunds to customers who exercised its Cancel for Any Reason feature, underscoring the value travelers place on flexibility. This addresses one of the most common barriers to booking: uncertainty.

By giving guests added confidence that they can change plans if needed, hotels can encourage more travelers to commit to a reservation.

Klarna: expanding payment choice (coming soon)

Pay for bookings via Klarna or PayPal - Aven Hospitality

Klarna will bring one of the world's most recognized Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) solutions to Aven Booking Engine customers in select North America and European countries.

The integration allows guests to spread the cost of their stay over time, creating greater flexibility around how and when they pay. Traveler demand for flexible payment options continues to grow as the total value of travel booked through Klarna has increased by 50% in the past year.

For travelers, this can make higher-value trips feel more accessible while offering a familiar payment experience. By expanding payment options, hotels can appeal to a broader range of guests and remove payment-related friction that might otherwise prevent a booking from being completed.

PayPal: leveraging familiarity and trust (coming soon)

PayPal will give guests the ability to pay for bookings using PayPal, access Buy Now, Pay Later options, and, in the United States, complete purchases using Venmo.

For travelers, the benefit is simplicity and trust: they can use payment methods they already know and feel comfortable using.

PayPal expands the range of payment methods available to guests, helping reduce checkout abandonment and providing additional ways to complete a transaction. Trusted payment brands can play an important role in increasing booking confidence and helping hotels capture more direct revenue.

Designed for what's next

The advantage of a modular Booking Engine is the ability to bring together specialized capabilities in a single solution. Rather than sourcing, integrating, and managing multiple point solutions independently, hotels can activate proven partner solutions that address specific sources of booking friction.

Whether it's giving guests more payment flexibility, providing protection when plans change, reducing weather-related hesitation, or helping travelers better visualize a property before booking, each integration is designed to support conversion and create a more seamless path to purchase.

This flexibility benefits multiple teams across the hotel organization. Commercial teams can offer experiences tailored to different traveler preferences, while technical teams can deliver richer booking experiences without the complexity of building and maintaining multiple integrations. The result is a Booking Engine that can adapt as guest expectations change while helping hotels simplify operations and maximize the value of their technology investments.

In today's hospitality landscape, a Booking Engine needs to do more than process reservations. It must support how travelers discover, evaluate, compare and purchase, ultimately helping them feel confident in their decision to book direct.

Through a combination of continued product innovation and strategic partnerships, Aven Hospitality is building a modern, commerce solution designed to reduce friction, strengthen guest confidence and help hotels drive more direct revenue.
